Choi's Kimchi

Website

Introduction

Choi's Kimchi is a locally-owned enterprise with deep ties to the Portland community. Regrettably, the Choi family encountered a tragic setback with the loss of a co-owner. In response to this unfortunate circumstance, a colleague and I felt compelled to offer our support.

In collaboration with Choi's Kimchi's marketing team and owners, we initiated discussions to enhance their website. Our goal was to assess the user experience, revamp the overall site design, and explore the incorporation of features that were absent from their existing website at the time.

Role

Creative co-lead and Webflow lead

Challenge

To craft a comprehensive hub for Choi's Kimchi, offering a centralized platform showcasing wholesale opportunities, e-commerce functionalities, curated recipes, and an informative FAQ section to cater to the audience's needs.

How'd it Start?

We began by analyzing the current website to identify potential pain points. This analysis informed a re-mapping of the user flow to cater to various user types, including consumers placing orders, handling business inquiries, and managing wholesale requests. Furthermore, we identified areas within the design that required enhancements to improve accessibility for all users.

Discovery and Iterations

While finalizing the site's structural flow, we concurrently developed design mockups to assess and align with the client's preferences.

Some challenges to note

This website turned into a huge overhaul, which was really exciting!
